The Three Branches of Government
In the branches of government, we have a Legislative Branch, Executive Branch, and a Judicial Branch. The Legislative Branch is made of two houses of Congress, the House of Representatives and Senate. The Legislative Branch discusses and votes on written laws in congress. The Executive Branch of government oversees making sure laws in the United States are obeyed. The president of the United States is the head of the Executive Branch and accompanied by the Vice president, and the Cabinet. The third branch is the Judicial Branch, the Judicial branch is made up of the Supreme Court and the Federal Judicial Center. The duty of the Judicial Branch is to interpret the constitution. The Executive Branch is made up of the President, Vice President, and the President’s Cabinet. The Cabinet is a group of the president’s top advisors selected from the fifteen Executive Departments.
