What are the types of adult brain tumors and how are they caused?

How are brain tumors treated? Brain tumors are treated by surgery or chemotherapy. Surgery is a common treatment for primary brain tumors. Not all tumors can be fully removed. In these cases, a surgeon will have to attempt to reduce the tumor’s size.

How are brain tumors caused? Brain tumors are caused by some genetic diseases which put you at risk of getting them. Turcot syndrome (a condition characterized by abnormal cells and polyps) is a way of getting a brain tumor. There are many other ways of getting brain tumors. An example is neurofibromatosis (a tumor-causing genetic disorder) is another way of causing a brain tumor.
