Brady Shorey: My Goals In High School

The person I picked to discuss these goals with my friend Brady Shorey, he has been my inspiration in school and has become someone who I really look up to. The main reason I look up to Brady is because he has created a life out of nothing, he has worked incredibly hard for everything he has; leading to him becoming a successful lawyer, Brady had goals and dreams and through his hard work he transformed dreams and aspirations into reality. His general response to my goals was positive, the one suggestion he offered was to start now rather than waiting. He explained this suggestion by stating, “the longer you wait, the easier it’s going to become to put these goals off and forget about them.” He also encouraged me to really push myself, not settling with a lower bar, but really pushing yourself by setting high expectations for yourself. …show more content…
I really need to ask Luke to be my accountability partner, as well as providing him with a copy of my goals. Secondly, I have to reach out to academic services this semester, and to see if they have any resources that I could study and use over the summer; this would also better prepare me for next semester. Lastly, Brady encouraged me to get involved with a service learning organization as soon as possible, he also expressed the importance and impact of service learning. Stating, “You learn more about yourself, you learn how to improve yourself when you serve others and take the focus off of yourself” this is something I really want to be apart of, I want to grow. It's hard and scary to make goals for yourself, out of fear of falling short and failure. But with the help of those around me, I look forward to reaching and meeting the goals i have set in this
