The works of John Winthrop, Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor have made great contributions in the field of forming the ways in which the religious faiths have been structured and organized life for the colonists. Edward Taylor was a teacher who was acted as being the missionary to the settler. Anne Bradstreet has given the reflection of her religious devotion in the form of various Biblical scriptures where she finally was able to found peace in the firm belief. She has also presented the religious theme along with the domestic themes which was also considered by Cotton Mather. She has also written the sequence of various religious poems named “contemplations”. One important thing to be noted is that John Winthrop was the critic of the work by Anne Bradstreet and thus considered her to be in rebelling societal norms of the time. John Winthrop was also considered to be the moral for the force of being in the comparative moderation in the religiously conservative colony. It is upsetting because this complaint has been directed at the colonies for the sake of the establishments of a tyrannical government present in the North America. The second abuse is based on the tyrannical authority which was present in place of the King George III which was interfered with that of the rejection of the legislature as being proposed by the colonies.
