Bradley Scott’s childhood wasn’t an enjoyable one. Everyone around would use him as a “punching bag” since he had an off-putting air about him. The nickname, mosquito, did little to help because just like a mosquito, people would want to smack him. Classmates would batter Bradley. Bradley’s own family assaulted him. Even teachers, including the principal, Mr. Johnson, would partake in the beatings. Being in school with contusions must have been embarrassing, especially when Bradley’s mother once pulled him out of classes to deliver some. Mr. Johnson and the other teachers would strike him right outside of classrooms or on other school grounds as classes were going on.
