Boys Club Case Study

As one of the three judges during the fight between Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas, I believe the representative for the Boys’ Club should be announced to the audience. From what happened during the boys’ fight, Felix Vargas should be declared winner. Although both players were equally matched in skills, Vargas had more punches than Cruz. During the fight, Felix was the first person to injure his opponent. He trapped Antonio between the ropes of the ring and started punching his midribs with dynamite force. This move showed me his style of fighting in boxing matches. Besides only using his body, Vargas also used his brain to trick Antonio. In the second round, he pretended to be hurt in hopes of luring his opponent to him. Vargas used this chance to pour out punishing punches. A champion should not only have strength but also the intelligence and technique during a fight. Being able to outsmart an opponent is a valuable …show more content…
From what occurred during the fight, Antonio Cruz shouldn’t represent the Boys’ Club. In Round 2, he was the first person to fall onto the canvas because of his carelessness. After seeing Felix pretend to be hurt, Antonio moved in too close towards his opponent. This resulted in him getting bombarded with dynamite punches. After the first two rounds with Felix, Antonio was noticeably hurt. His midribs were bright red and he had a bloody nose. Throughout the entire fight, it wasn’t apparent whether Antonio was using height to his advantage. If he was to use his long reach, Felix might’ve been defeated and there would’ve be a clear winner. Although both players were equally matched, Felix Vargas should be the representative for the Golden Gloves tournament due to his techniques and the number of times he injured his opponent. I’ll be awaiting your announcement regarding who won the fight. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at (773) 534

As I walked into the Santa Monica Boys And Girls Club (SMBGC) for the first time, it was lunch hour. I noticed many kids, roughly between the ages of six to sixteen, jumping around, laughing, eating, and talking to Charnelle Ruff, the education coordinator. I tried to approach Charnelle to greet her and ask for my volunteer shirt through the diversely populated crowd of children that I would be interacting with for the next few weeks. However, getting ahold of Charnelle was not as easy as I thought it would be. Children kept coming up to her constantly, some with complaints about their mates, some who wanted her to open their lunch and some who just wanted a hug.…
