I was so thrilled but despite my passion for bowling I didn’t join the team till my sophomore year of high school. My sophomore year wasn’t all that it was cut out to be. We had enough girls to make a varsity team and a JV team and since I was only a sophomore I was on the JV team. Being on the JV team wasn’t so disappointing except for the fact that I rarely got to bowl. I got to travel and watch all these girls bowl and maybe occasionally, get my shot to bowl with the Varsity girls. That year my team went to regionals and we placed in the top three. Placing In the top three meant we had to bowl the last two teams who also placed to get to the number one seat and take home the metal. As It came down to the last few frames we bolted down and got serious. We cheered on our team with our funky cheers, and our laughter. Then in the end we came out in first. We took what we deserved and got first place, finally the hard work paid off. Then when I got to my junior year I was so excited, I knew it was finally my time to shine because I got a spot on the Varsity team. Even though we only had 4 girls I took that into consideration and used that year as a competition against
