Street can look like one college party, but if the observer looks closer subtle cultural influences begin to stand out among the people partying. The third image shows, street musicians, dancing and playing for the people on Bourbon Street. Music is a big element on Bourbon Street because it has many traditional jazz clubs and bars where live music is played. The music is not contained to the inside of buildings, but it is something that is performed inside and out. Jazz developed in clubs and outside on Bourbon Street. Bourbon Street was also one of the main stages where jazz was preformed. Jazz is a big element of New Orleanian culture as well as music in general because what is a party without music? The second image depicts a dining establishment, Galatoire’s. This establishment was a surprising find because it is a fine dining establishment. Fine dining and partying does not seem to be two things that go together. Galatoire’s is an establishment where traditional New Orleans style food is served. Food is a big part of the New Orleanian culture which is why it can be found even in sinful places like Bourbon Street where alcohol is the major item consumed. Food in New Orleans is something that is savored and enjoyed. It is a very big part of their culture. Bourbon Street has many restaurants where food is in the spotlight instead of liquor.
