Title: The bouncy egg
Question: will the egg crack or will it bounce?
Hypothesis: I think the egg will bounce due to the vinegars chemical reactions because of the vinegar being an acid.
Equipment:
1 jar
Vinegar
1 egg
Steps:
1. Pour vinegar into the jar
2. Place the egg in vinegar (make sure that the jar has a lid on it)
3. Wait 48 hours
4. Rinse the eggs
5. Bounce the eggs
Results: I dropped the egg from 5cm high and the egg bounced after waiting 2 days for the vinegar to react.
Conclusion: The egg shell is made out of calcium carbonate and because vinegar is an acid carbon dioxide bubbles form around the egg shell which eats away the egg shell which leaves the inside and the inside is like rubber so that way
