The bouncy ball is way bouncy then the tennis ball, because the bouncy ball is made of the rubber and when it hits the ground it gets compressed, or squished and because it is very elastic, it returns to its original shape very quickly. The tennis ball can’t bounce as much as the bouncy ball because it’s made of solid cores and last much longer than pressurized tennis balls. They don’t lose their bounce easily but the disadvantage is that the felt wears off much faster. Since they don’t need to be pressure-sealed, they come in nets or bags. There is a thin layer of adhesive on the rubber. Pressurized tennis balls are filled with either air or nitrogen, with nitrogen keeping the balls inflated longer. Fuzz on the tennis ball isn’t for fun. It’s functional. Tennis bals are made of bouncy rubber, and the felt covering helps make them softer, slow their speed in the air, and regulate their bounce. As importantly, it gives the tennis ball a lot of surface for spin, which is a key part of the game.Tennis ball are usually packed in a hermetically, or airtight, sealed cans containing three balls. The reason for this is that tennis balls are hollow on the inside and its interior is filled with certain gas, such as nitrogen, which depends on the type of ball or the manufacture. A tennis ball is pressurized, so it loses its bounce when the gas inside is repeatedly forced to make the ball regain its shape. Discover how the gas molecules are able to escape a tennis ball over time with help from a USPTA certified tennis pro in this free video on tennis equipment. The air pressure inside the ball is 12 pounds per square inch greater than ambient air pressure at sea level the normal air pressure all around you. The ambient air pressure is 14.7 psi, so all together, the pressure inside the ball is 26.7psi. A tennis ball is hollow and composed of inflated rubber, covered with a fabric which must be uniform.
