Bottled Water Vs Tap Water Essay

There has been a big controversy going on lately. People are arguing about where we should drink our water from. Some say we should drink it from the purified tap, and others think it’s best to drink it from individual bottled water. The tap can sometimes be quite dirty, but the reason for that is because of the bottled water factories polluting the water. Society today should start drinking from fountains that uses tap water.
The reason we should drink from the purified tap instead of bottled water because there’s really no difference in taste or how clean the water is comparing to the bottled water. There have been experiments to see if the tap water is tastier or cleaner than the bottled water. According to Annie Leonard in “The Story of Bottled Water,” “Sometimes, sometimes not in many ways, bottled water is less regulated than tap. Is it tastier? In taste tests across the country, people consistently choose tap over bottled water.” Purified tap water may be as good as bottled water, since both are generally clean. Plus, if you wanted to choose between tasty, generally clean water, or bland, generally clean water, most would pick the tastier one.
