Boston Tea Tax Essay

Great Britain placed tariffs on the United States that will play a big role in history. The sugar act was a tax/tariff placed on the United States and colonists by the British to raise revenue(The American Revenue Act of 1764). The sugar act was a tax places on sugar, and molasses. The colonist were angry about the sugar act mostly due to economic consequences which made prices 3 cents (The American Revenue Act of 1764s ). This is one of the many taxes that will go on during this period. The sugar act was just a start of some of the taxes that the British will place on the United States and colonists. The british have done it again, they have placed about her tax. The tea tax was placed on the United States and colonists that ended in a way that kinda benefited the u.s and colonists. The tea tax was placed to help the British get a better economy and make money for the war by taxing the colonists at an outragiose price(Mark). The colonists got angry of how high the taxes were that were placed on them. They were so angry the protested against the British that kept secret from the British(Mark). Charles Pinckney began his career as a federalist. Soon after that he left to join the Jefferson Republican Party in 1791(U.S. Governor, Diplomat, U.S. Representative, Writer (1757–1824). Pinckney then wanted to run for senate. In 1798 Pinckney was elected the senate of the United States of America. He stayed the u.s senate for a good three years or so.
