This documentary about the red light district really opened my eyes, and helped me learn about the hardships some kids were facing in parts of our world that I knew very little about. I noticed three main things about the lifestyle and personalities of the children. First, they had nothing: no love, no care, and no one to support them. Even so, they seemed full of joy, never complained, and persisted on with life. After meeting Zana, their lives had changed so much, and they grew very close together as a group, taking nothing for granted. The second thing I noticed was that they were living a very dark, heartbroken life, where they had to go through each day being abused ,laboured, and hungry. There are times in my life that when I am forced to wait 5 minutes for something I really want, I get all grumpy and start to complain. Now I feel disturbed because I have no patience compared to the kids. Avijit had to wait over a day to get his passport, and this was the one thing he really wanted in his life, to go to America. During this time he did not get impatient, didn't complain, and trusted that Zana would bring him the passport. The one scene that really spoke to me was the beach scene. Even though the kids had nothing in their life, on their first visit to the beach, they were so happy and filled with wonder. I remember my first day at the beach, and it was amazing. However, I wasn’t really excited about going, and I knew in the back of my head that i'll be coming here a lot more often, so I took it for granted. These kids knew that this was probably a once in a lifetime experience, and the way they played around the beach and took photos, made me
