Boot Camps In Juvenile Prisons

Correctional institute is that penal institution where juveniles are held temporarily so that they learn to behave. After watching the video, it is obvious that such efforts are not getting any successful and young offenders keep on hurting themselves and fighting with the police officers to leave that place. Studies show that there are very very few programs which may have some positive effect in the prevention of future delinquency like the “Future soldier program”. In future soldier program, the physical power and mental strength of juveniles can be used to turn them into law enforcers rather than law breakers. But, there are very few kids who can and who want to participate in this program.

There are many reasons for the ineffectiveness of government correctional institutes and juvenile prisons. One of the basic reasons is that when a juvenile gets arrested, he is usually a teenager and already possesses a rebellious nature. After being arrested, an anger and rage develops in him against the system and he either hurts himself or tries to hurt the officers.
