In Rudyard Kipling's fiction story, "Rikki-tikki-tavi", the theme of good vs. evil is demonstrated through Rikki's actions during his many conflicts within the story. For example, in page 26 it tells us that Karait tried to kill teddy but Riki saved teddy's life. And page 28-33 talks about nag and nagina trying to kill the family. Last on page 32-34 it tells us about nagina trying to kill rikki tikki. I think the theme is good vs evil.…

He is also very curious and intelligent. “He looked at the cotton-wool, decided that it was not good to eat, ran all around the table, sat up and put his fur in order, scratched himself, and jumped on the small boy's shoulder.” This statement from the story shows that Rikki-tikki is intelligent. Rikki Tikki was a true mongoose. Throughout the whole story, Rikki Tikki stayed true. If Rikki Tikki knew that something or someone was going to harm his friends and family, Rikki Tikki would harm them first. Rikki Tikki wouldn’t just talk about what he would do because e would actually do it. Rikki Tikki should be proud of himself because if he were too scared, Nag and Nagaina could just rule the garden and kill everyone and no one would ever stand up to them.…

In the book, "Bonecrack," by Dick Francis the character I would like to be the most is the main character and protagonist, Neil Griffon because he is courageous, hardworking, and loyal. The first reason Neil Griffon is the character I would like to be the most is he is undoubtedly courageous in all aspects of the story. When Neil was just sixteen years old he decided to become independent from his father and run away, shaping himself into the man he truly aspired to be. Enso Rivera, the antagonist of the story, puts his authority to the test on Neil and Neil does the unthinkable by putting the stable and others before his own life, saving himself, the stable, and the people around him. Another reason why Neil Griffon is the character I would…

As a soldier, whether one is a British soldier like Danny Deever was, a Chinese soldier, or an American soldier, there are many duties and codes one has to carry out and follow no matter the circumstances, such as following commands from those above you. Through the poem of “Danny Deever” by Rudyard Kipling, a reader would be able to infer that there are there are duties that inflict pain mentally on soldiers. That can be seen in Kipling’s writing when the author tells us that the rear rank is “breathing so ‘ard” and one front rank man fell down. Many of the soldiers, including Files,…
