Book Summary: Dealing With Dragons

Improved Essays
She’s a witch! The character from the book: Dealing with Dragons that I chose is named Morwen. I chose her because she plays a really big part of the story helping Cimorene and being a kind friend to everyone that is nice to her. Some things about Morwen that really stood out to me is that she is nice, very clean, and to top it all off she is a cat lady.

In the book it states, “You’re the one Kazul has been borrowing dishes from aren’t you?” The way that Cimorene says that makes it sound like they had never met, but Morwen still let Kazul barrow the dishes for Cimorene to use. People don't usually give people things if they don't know them. I think that really shows that Morwen is nice.

The author wrote that Morwen got soaked by a soap-water

An interesting fact about the central bearded dragon is that they can somehow lock their legs in a position so they are able to sleep standing up. In this assignment I will do a research and find out what their natural habitat is, what they need in captivity and what feed they should get. I will get this information from credible sources, such as animaldiversity.org, which I will present at the end of this assignment. In the story, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia Wrede, Cimorene was not justified in ignoring the social norms of her day or running away because her parents were trying to have her married off. It was only part of tradition, her leaving was an overreaction, and in ignoring the social standards of her day and leaving, she would have a great impact on her kingdom. Cimorene was not justified in ignoring the social norms of her day because her parent’s attempt to marry her off was only part of her heritage. In the article, Medieval Princess, it proclaims, “... [they] could be wedded off to the prince or king of a rival country as part of a peace treaty.” This demonstrates that a princess’s hand could be given at anytime to protect the kingdom.…

What I liked and disliked about some of the characters In the book The Impossible Quest, I liked Sebastian’s character because he was the most experienced character in the book. He was the only one who knew how to fight and could handle the bagged men, unlike the other characters who had struggled to fight the bog-men. I disliked how Tom was the one leading the team when he didn’t have any special skills and was the one who had caused more problems for their team. I also liked Quinn’s character and Arwen, The Grand Teller, they have magic powers.…

Well Edited Essay: The Fiery Creature I would like to met something that is fiery as the lava that pours through its’ blackened body .Meeting a dragon has been a dream of mine since I can remember. The idea of dragons has been around since the beginning of time, yet not a single person has been able to show actual proof that a dragon exists. They are considered the most popular and longest lasting mythological creature to date. The thought of them was first written down by the ancient Greeks and Sumerians. At the beginning of their timeline they were considered a unique and rare creature, that guarded treasure and protected the land if they were treated fairly.…

The Book of Yaak by Rick Bass I hate “The Book of Yaak”. This book should not have been written. The fault, however, does not lie with author Rick Bass. Bass’ style is clear and poetic, intermingling of his not-quite-stream-of-consciousness prose seamlessly with the scientific data and information that illustrates the dire situation for his place, the Yaak Valley of Northern Montana, and all of his fellow citizens, lynx, deer, wolves, wood thrush, owls, and grizzlies.…
