Teach Me To Forget Book Report

“Teach Me to Forget” was a fascinating book written by Erica Chapman. This particular book is categorized as young adult fiction. The types of books that I generally read are fiction books. Whenever I go to the library the first section that I go to is the fiction area because I enjoy reading book that I can use my Imagination. The reason why I chose this book to do my report on was because of the title. It grabbed my attention and made me want to find out what they wanted to forget. The cover wasn’t as interesting as the title. The cover had clouds over the front of the book. It would have been better if it had some sort of object or person on the front. However I still was excited about reading the book.
The main characters in the book were Ellery, Colter, Jackson, Janie, Dean, and Kirstyn. Ellery is the main character of this book. She is the one who wanted to commit suicide by shooting herself, but she failed. …show more content…
I would be more than likely to read it over and over again. The best characters of the book, in my opinion, would be Ellery, Colter, and Jackson. Ellery isn’t only my favorite because the whole book is mainly about her. She had a funny personality, but was irrational at times and blamed everything on herself. She was very mournful and wanted to be left alone until Colter happened. It did get annoying when she repeatedly called herself “happy Ellery” even though we all know good and well that she was not so happy. Colter was a good character, because he would always look for the brighter side and fell in love with Ellery, first. I felt sorry for him, having to have dealt with his brother’s death and now knowing that the person he loves, Ellery, wants to kill herself. Jackson was an exceptional friend to Ellery and always helped her. He was there for her after her sister’s death, he was there for her when they found out that Ellery was going to kill herself. He even carried her away from her sister’s grave on a rainy
