Book Review Of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower By Stephen Robsky

As a part of our summer reading assignment, we were asked to choose a novel that sparked our interest, whether it would give us an academic or personal enjoyment. While going over the list of books given to me, one specific publication appealed to me, that was "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chobsky. The description clearly indicated that I would enjoy reading the novel because it related to me and my soon-to-be freshman experience. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" grasped my attention and allowed me to understand that I would be able to incorporate the various lessons I learned from reading this into real life situations. Throughout the course of the novel, many world problems are discussed such as domestic abuse, drug use, etc.
