This paper will review the book, “Mini Habits,” by Stephen Guise. First, I will explain why I chose this book to write a review on. Second, I will discuss two topics from the book that I found particularly interesting. Next, I will discuss two elements of the book that are corroborated with outside sources. Lastly, I will explain how the information I have garnered from reading this book will affect my personal actions. Let us begin with why I chose this book.
Chosen Book
Of the three books, we had to choose from, I decided to read and review “Mini Habits,” by Stephen Guise, because the other two books were about dieting and exercising. I felt that if I was to read all three of these books and incorporate their information in my life, I needed to read the one about habit formation

Additionally, Soejerd et. al (2014) state that, “in most motivational models of addiction, positive reinforcements (or rewards) are highlighted as the initial and primary drive.” (p. 1) Thus, by establishing a positive feedback loop when initially beginning a habit, it will more likely become a habit. Therefore, these two topics in “Mini
Habits” have been corroborated by outside sources. Finally, I will discuss how I will apply elements of “Mini Habits” in my life.
Practice Application
From reading this book, and seeing how it differs from other self-help books, I feel that it has changed my perception about forming positive habits. The author’s approach states that doing one small action a day will lead you to feel accomplished and add onto that small action over time. It is starting small and working up to tougher tasks that makes me feel like I am accomplishing my goals; no matter how small it might be. Even though my initial habit is small,
