During the book Milkweed, the main parts of the book were when Misha met Uri at the store and when Misha met Janina at her garden. Some other main parts was when Misha met Dr. Korczak and the orphans and when the Jews went to the Ghettos. The author’s purpose for making this story was to reflect on the events that happened in the Holocaust. The main characters, major events, and the theme make up the whole book. Without one of them, Milkweed won’t be as good of a book it is. The main characters in Milkweed are Misha, Uri, Janina, and the Jackboots.
