Me Before You by Jojo Moyes is a book about love, life and learning to live your life to the fullest and leaves you with many life lessons. Reading this book, will leave you thinking about your life and to always aim to follow your dreams and to never settle for being ordinary. The characters are different, honest and teach you many life lessons. Being Thankful for what you have and appreciate the little things and always have compassion with others. The book relates to human development in many ways like discovering yourself finding what works for yourself and what doesn’t. Louisa suddenly loses her job at a café and has to look for a new one. Her only option left is taking care of a quadriplegic man in the rich side of town she has no option but to take the job. To her surprise she meets this egocentric moody man who is wheelchair bound. He expects her to act the same way everyone else does but she doesn’t she is outgoing and doesn’t treat him different at all they both fall In love. She then realizes he plans to take his life in a hospital in another country in 6 months’ time. She is left heartbroken at the news and refuses to accept it. She takes it upon herself to teach him the way she looks at life and the wonderful things life has to offer. Will learned to appreciate the little things in life he realized that the little things are huge like being able to run and walk, we don’t realize how important something is until we lose it or a life changing moment happens. Also to follow your dreams and to not let anything stop you, when Louisa met Will she had settled for everything she had a simple job and a boyfriend and stayed supporting her family but Will pushed her to live every moment and to find new dreams and goals to enjoy and become more active much like the way Will was before the accident. Louisa is the most selfless, and caring person always putting everyone else above herself she throughout the book shows Will how to be compassionate and caring towards others. This book inspired me to be a better person and after reading it left me with a nice message about life, love, and to follow your goals and dreams putting your happiness above everyone else’s and to live the life that you want.
