Book Report: The Chosen One

It is midnight in an abandoned town somewhere is Russia; three men run inside an old toxic waste building. They are running from federal officials because they have a tablet which can cause great destruction if used properly. They race to the basement, running all over the place until they find a spot no one will look, where they hide the tablet. Then they surrender themselves to the authorities. They leave on a helicopter and in mid-air, the town blows up, no one will find the tablet now. The year is 3054; people have been searching for the lost tablet for over a hundred years. Seven factions have been spending all of their time looking for this tablet believed to still be somewhere in Russia. The factions, Vortex, Doom, Revolution, …show more content…
They belong to the faction based in Vermont, Vortex, which is the closest faction to Kevin. They know being caught would mean having to tell The Chosen One the truth about his existence which would lead him straight to the tablet. They decide to schedule a meeting in a neutral area with the leaders of the other six factions to settle on a safe option that will lead Kevin away from the tablet. Seven men meet in the middle of the Sahara Desert talking about the close encounter with The Chosen One. “You know if we get caught his power will be too strong for us and he get valuable information about the tablet. If he gets the tablet our world’s existence is at stake,” the leader of Crucible states. They argue until it escalates into a physical fight. When the fighting stops they all agree to work together and peacefully to either locate the tablet and destroy it, or make sure Kevin Johnson never learns of his power or learns about the …show more content…
They discuss how Kevin’s father left him at a young boy to join the faction Savage which at the time was the closest to finding the tablet. “Why didn’t you tell me dad was part of the search for the tablet?”, Kevin says. “Kevin, you have a power no other human being has; you can locate the tablet through a series of clues and you can cause great destruction with the tablet. The goal was to not let you know about the tablet to avoid any risk.
