Once, on a freezing autumn morning, as the wind blew quite harshly, a seventeen-year-old girl named Ruby Wilson rode her bright-yellow bike to Dell Town Public Library for the reason that she truly enjoyed reading. Inside, she sat down on her favourite red leather chair and opened up a new book on her lap. The title of the book was The Ancient Goldgusher Island. From inside the book, a wrinkled, old sheet of paper slipped out. To Ruby’s surprise, it was the actual map to Goldgusher Island! Seeing the map, Ruby was determined to find Goldgusher Island and fulfil her dreams. She rushed home to pack the equipment needed for the journey.
Suddenly, the door to her room opened. It was Ruby’s twelve-year-old sister, Dian. She was very adventurous, extremely brave,

Ruby kept following the map, and after a long time of walking, she finally reached the centre of The Forest of Fog. She found the gate to the island, but as she ran towards it, she ran into a trap that pulled her deep into the ground. It was then that a group of giblesnobers surrounded her so she couldn’t escape.
After a few hours, it turned dark and the foolish giblesnobers fell asleep. That’s when she saw a spark of light. A familiar face popped up, and she was relieved to see Dian, who had been following her. Dian freed Ruby from the trap, pulling her up by using a long rope. Suddenly, all of the giblesnobers woke up and ran to attack them. Using her marvellous karate moves, Dian fended off all of them. The sisters opened up the gate to Goldgusher Island for everyone to fulfil their dreams.
If you visit The Forest of Fog this very day, you might be able to realize your

This expedition seemed doomed because they started with three different strategies, and three different generals. The Athenians named three generals to lead the expedition. They named Alcibiades, Nicias and Lamchus as their leaders. Nicias, who had tried to convince the people of Attica not to go to Sicily, suggested that they sail towards Sicily and force a settlement between Segesta and Selinus; then after that return home. Lamachus, suggested that they could attack their real enemy, Syracuse as this would catch them off guard, and would encourage the rest of Sicily to be on the Athenian side.…

Knowing the land, what it has to give, what can be reaped from it is very important, as well as how greatly land can impact a civilization. This idea is elaborated upon in several different tales, tales in both oral and written form that have been passed down through generations and across cultures. The way the land and the environment in each of these tales reflect into the story and characters differ from where the tale originated, but they each share a common understanding. This understanding is explained best, and in a rather blunt fashion, in the tale of Gilgamesh; it is explained that those who know and understand the way the land is created are wise (Gil.,I.1-4). The tale of Gilgamesh elaborates on how wise Gilgamesh actually was.…

I have always been a fanatic of fantasy stories, however, I was skeptical with what I found during my expedition in my former grandmother’s house, who now rests in peace. Between my grandmother’s belongings that have been dusting for years in the attic, there was a white plain envelope sealed with my name written in a messy handwriting that I recognized as my grandmother’s. I looked at it for what it seemed like a whole minute wondering about if I should open it. At the end, I opted for opening at that moment. Inside of the envelope, there was what it looked like an old ticket made from processed animal skin, also known as parchment, and a black ink feather pen.…
