What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Peter was mentioned over and over again in the life with Jesus and the beginning of the New Testament Church. It all started with Peter working as a fisherman and ran the business with the men and women of the Family. His life was not talked about in detail about before Jesus met him, but I would have to say that he was probably a normal hardworking man. Then Jesus called the leader out of him and his life changed forever for the better.…

Throughout the entire Hebrew Bible, multiple claims are made about the God of Israel. Some of the most important claims come from the book of Exodus. Jesus is visited by people referred to as wise men, kings, or the magi. The gifts which the magi bring to Jesus are consistently described as gold, frankincense and myrrh. These three gifts were standard gifts to honor a king or deity in the ancient world: gold as a precious metal, frankincense as perfume or incense, and myrrh as anointing oil. While these gifts had a very practical purpose, there is also a great deal of spiritual symbolism in the gifts offered in terms of Jesus as Priest, Prophet and King. Jesus gave us all a better gift: The gift of a clean slate and forgiveness from our sins; all you have to do is take the gift.…

Being Orthodox Christian teaches me that both Abraham and Moses are equally important and I cannot say that I favor one over the other. However, if I had the chance to meet only one of them I would probably choose Moses. The reason for this lies mainly in the fact that his life was one of extremes, in a way similar to the one of the founder of Buddhism Siddhartha Gautama. From being “sentenced” to death as a baby to being raised as a royalty and receiving the best education and life possible at the time, to afterwards escaping Egypt and living a simple life very different and distant from the one of a royalty. Yet another reason for my choice would be the fact that when God chose Moses and told him to go back to Egypt and save his people from…

Jude wanted to write about the Salvation of Jesus, but instead he felt that he must warn them about the circulating false teachers against God. These immoral men would try to manipulate believers by making them believe that if they believe in God, then they would be permitted to sin without restrictions. People were led to believe that they were saved by God’s grace; he wouldn’t hold their sins against them. The recipients that Jude addressed this letter are very general.…

Jude’s wrote to warn a community of the presence of false teachers in their midst. He does not give enough detail about the errors which the teachers are proclaiming to clarify which specific community he is addressing or whether his intent was to warn all Christian communities in general of the danger of false teachers. Some suggest that the fact that he assumed his readers had a…

In this essay, I will be talking about what I believe to be true from what Jesus tells us in the Bible, about being the Son of God and how He was here to die on the cross for our sins, showing everyone who He was and who ever believe in Him is save, or healed if they were sick. In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…

Conclusion Jude and 2 Peter both have the right ideal as a leader to guide the church toward the kingdom of God by guiding them away from those leader who teach on false teaching, that is twisting God’s words to please their own fleshly desires.
