Enders Game Analysis

Challenged Book 5 Paragraph Essay For my challenged book I read “Enders Game” by Orson Scott Card. “Enders game” is about a family that the government praises for their impeccable children. Peter is the oldest, Valentine is the middle, and Ender is the youngest, all of whom are intelligent. Bullied by his brother, Peter, Ender is a deviant and learns from a very young age how to defend himself against the people who try to hurt him. The government sends Ender to be trained as a soldier to fight the war between the “buggers” and the civilization, and finds that Ender is born to be a leader and commander but is very apprehensive. I believe that “Enders Game” should not be banned from a school setting. Orson Scott Card is a talented writer and creates beautiful top quality work, grabbing readers in from the first page. “Enders Game’s” moral is to teach readers about loyalty, family, trust, and above all, friendship. I think some of the few intense scenes in “Enders Game” are blown up to be seen as insensitive to convince parents that it is unsuitable and scarring to kids’ minds, yet parents let the …show more content…
“Enders game” is very engrossing and stimulating it can entertain all readers. This book has a strong moral that teaches readers about loyalty, family, trust, and love. Sadly, some of the very few harsh scenes in “Enders Game” are blown up to be seen as indelicate to persuade parents that it is inappropriate and scarring to kids’ minds, while the usage of games are seen as acceptable that portray woman as prostitutes and glorify drinking and drugs. I believe “Enders Game” should not be censored from schools. It is a book that has been banned for the littlest of violence that does not even come close to the video games students are playing in times days.
