In the book To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus father of our main characters Jem and Scout believes that in order to see a true person’s heart, one, must crawl into his/her skin and walk around in their shoes. And how our characters Jem Finch, Scout Finch, Mrs. Dubose, Boo Radley and Mayella Ewell change when this phrase is taken into action throughout the book.
“Atticus was right. One time he said you never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk in them and just standing in the Radley’s porch was enough.” (Lee 279) Here we have Scout witnessing what Boo Radley had witnessed all through the book.
