Cryosurgery uses liquid nitrogen to freeze and kill cancer cells.Riluzole (Rilutek) is the only medication for ALS approved by the FDA and works to slow down its progression. To diagnose bone cancer, you can get x-rays, biopsy, and blood tests. X-rays include, bone scan, CT/CAT scan, MRI, PET scan, angiogram. A biopsy is just the removal of tissue samples from the tumor. Blood tests determine the level of enzyme called alkaline phosphatase. The process with ALS can be done as EMG and NCV, blood and urine studies, spinal tap, MRIs, Merlogram of cervical spine, muscle and/or nerve
