The bigger question is whether or not it is more fulfilling to be the giver or receiver of an act of kindness. I believe it is more fulfilling to the giver because it is rewarding knowing that your gift is giving someone pleasure and it is not only benefiting the person you are helping but also yourself. Everyone knows the feeling you get as a child on Christmas morning when you are itching to open every present.
