could have handled the matter in a less brutal way. The U.S. committed acts of murder more than the act of war. The bomb could have been as destructive as the bomb used on the attack of Pearl Harbor. The bombing may have been more justified if the bomb had been dropped in a less populated area, showing the japanese what america was capable of. Many different things could have been done to Japan that would have had a less negative long-term effects. Instead of the U.S. looking for a quick way to end thing, they could have planned the attack in a more rational way.
Finally, the bombing was unjustified because the U.S. was unaware the outcome of the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb had never been used before. The U.S. didn’t know the amount of destruction the bomb would bring. It’s understandable that revenge was wanted but to drop a bomb never before use that no one knew anything about in regards to the destruction, on innocent civilians is a ruthless, cold-blooded act. It was a gratuitous act to use a weapon so dangerous and so foreign, on a country that didn’t deserve
