The restoration project is supported by many local and state agencies. The project is not of small scale, however, over 1200 acres will be refurbished. The renovation will bring back plant, bird, and marine species and introduce new varieties to the ecosystem, all the while creating a living habitat. With perseverance and the support of communities and organizations alike, the project will be a success. The residents that live on the mesa and use the trails along the wetlands will no longer have oil wells to gaze upon, but a lush landscape rich with wildlife fully restored as it was over 100 years
