Anyone can be a leader, and leaders can be many kinds of people from many walks of life. Leadership can be defined as “the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal.” which is thebalance.com’s definition of what a leader is. A leader can be a person in power or not, they have many great qualities such as productivity, loyalty and a lot of self-discipline they do not have to be someone in power. Society has many faults but one in particular is violence, violence has affected the whole United States in a huge way of sadness and fear in many horrible ways which are not imaginable. Society’s problem of violence can only be fixed through the kind of leadership that demonstrates boldness, communication, and vision. …show more content…
According to oxforddictionaries.com boldness can be defined as “Willingness to take risks and act innovatively; confidence or courage.” It is a huge part of being a leader and making choices that are difficult that puts people in danger is one of those parts. Being bold is a huge part because boldness is the emotion that someone is showing through their facial expressions and body language. For example, Winston Churchill was a leader that showed a lot of boldness, he made alliances with the United States and the Soviet Union to complete the common goal of all the countries which was to defeat Nazi Germany during WW2. According to biography.com “ Churchill kept resistance to Nazi dominance alive, and created the foundation for an alliance with the United States and the Soviet Union.” Winston Churchill played a big part in making Germany surrender. This kind of boldness took a lot of guts as that quote explains how he attacked the Nazis head on without letting them get comfortable while in the war to stop the mass violence and despair of sadness they have created. Leaders like people that made strategic choices such as Winston Churchill are not very common, WW2 was a bad war and hundreds of thousands were killed without leaders like these to make hard choices during this time, the violence created could have been worse and there could have been way more casualties which he did …show more content…
In general, the three qualities a leader is made up of is communication, boldness, and vision. Anyone can be a leader, it just takes a cause or something that is wrong in society for someone to stand up and attempt to make a change with those qualities. As a country with a future of less violence overall, if new leaders begin to show how true and loyal a real leader can be, violence will be nonexistent to very little concern of society in the near future. A future with the three qualities of vision, boldness, and communication such as Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr had will change the world for the better all while stopping violence for the next generations to
