Head Coach Bolanos’ leadership style has a devastating effect on his players, which lead to a season of an unstable negative climate for the team. The student athlete-coach relationship is tested on the sidelines, this is the time when players are performing on the field, making quick decisions in order to meet effectively the challenges posed by their opponents. The main expectation from players is for their head coach to know his players’ strenghts and weaknesses, for him to become his players’ lifeline providing them with instruction and encouragement, to keep his focus and to be the source of strategic wisdom. Head Coach Bolanos’ sideline composure leaves a lot to be desired according to the student-athletes comments on this part of the
