A boil, also called a furuncle, its a deep folliculitis, infection of the hair follicle. It is most commonly caused by infection by the bacterium results to a painful swollen area on the skin caused by an accumulation of pus and dead tissue. Boils are filled with pus. Boils clustered together are called carbuncles.
Boils are bumpy, red, pus filled lumps around a hair follicle that are tender, warm, and very pain, they are the sizes of pea or golf balls. A yellow or white point at the center can be seen when the boil is about to burst.
Prevention can be prevented in the following ways:
Antibacterial soaps, Antiseptic (germ-killing) washes, and by hand washing them with warm water.

Treatment:
A boil may clear up on its own without bursting, but more often it will need to open and drain. This will usually happen often within two weeks. In order to speed a boils healing it is advisable to apply a warm moist compression before and after the boil opens.
You may need to have surgery to drain deep or large boils. Treatment is needed from a Speciatialist if: A boil lasts longer than 2 weeks, a boil comes back., you have a boil on your spine, and lastly You have a fever or other symptoms with the boil
Wash your hands very well after touching a boil.
Do not re-use or share washcloths or towels that has been affected by the disease. Wash clothing, cloths, towels, and sheets that contact infected areas with hot
