World State, I hesitantly greet you. Transported from the past, I was welcomed with new scientific discoveries and societal ideas, but these innovations trouble me greatly. Although I whole-heartily support the motto "Community, Identity, Stability," your methods of achieving such a worthy motto are cynical. Yes, this includes Bokanovsky’s Process, a horrific scientific method that takes one fertilized egg and aggressively forces it to divide into ninety-six identical buds. The future children and citizens of your nation are dumped into alcohol, bombarded with harsh X-rays for eight minutes, and expected to survive such fatal procedures while being kept in incubators. This is morally incorrect. The government has subtly pressure men and women to give up their sperm and eggs--their future children--for money, a whole …show more content…
Ask yourself whether you controlled your own freedom or your rights. The government controlled the course of your life before you were born. In the past, the people had fundamental rights: the opportunity for happiness, individuality, and choice. All of that is gone. You may believe you are at the happiest point of your life, but is happiness serving the government as one of the millions of replaceable workers in a factory? Is that one's purpose: to work as a human machine until one dies? Should the government be able to force twins to work as machine part, such as gear, in a factory? In the past, one would view this as degradation of the humanity.

You sacrifice your life for the "good" of the nation, and you receive a measly six months' worth of pay in return. As human beings, we have passion for things greater than a factory job or stability of our corrupted government. We desire equality, opportunity, and civil

Are we ready for an America made one quarter of genetically abnormal persons? Yet, this is how America will be, if fertilized eggs are given legal personhood. Fertilized eggs are single celled embryos which are incapable of survival on their own. Granting them legal personhood will be against the interests of humanity. It will invariably politicize the matter, interfere with research that can potentially revolutionize healthcare, deprive men and women of the right to choose the fate of their sex cells, and drive up healthcare costs on a logarithmic scale.…

However, I’m going to prove that each and everyone should be able to express themselves, no one have to have same rights or be equal, everybody should be different. Governmental control is being displayed by “Vonnegut’s short story demonstrates the dangers of governmental control and ignorance through showing what a true equality could lead to” (Perschon). This tells us that our government control is bad and ignorant, government can do a lot of bad things to people. The second quote of governmental control is “The rule of…

Romney’s speech is rhetorically effective to the greater extent. He uses both logical and emotional rhetorical devices to fulfill the effectiveness of his speech on the audience. Logic does help since most voters out there don’t know what they are doing and just vote for whoever seems like they have the best plan. It also appeals to the smart people who watch the news and indulge this time of year, after all everyone just wants a better country. Emotional appeal does indeed tug at the heart strings and can do a better job convincing.…
