Body Bacteria Exploring the Skin’s Microbial Metropolis by Allison Maclachla, Personally I found this article very engaging yet descriptive. Especially when she explained that not all bacteria are bad for you, and then continues to state some are very helpful. For instance she touches base on Staphylococcus epidermis, and how it shields us by taking up the space that Staphylococcus aureus would otherwise conquer. It’s intriguing to now know that acne (Acne vulgaris) the most common skin bacterium, works the same way. Acne vulgaris invades certain parts of our body to hold back other harmful bacteria from penetrating specific areas. The hair follicles become blocked, which has a result of an accumulation of oil under the skin, which gives us acne.
Although this passage provided a lot more information regarding the subject body bacteria, I personally found this section the most interesting.

The other two didn’t really capture my attention as much as this one did. I appreciate how Jessica Green opened up her speech providing us facts such as: “In the human development world 90% of us live our life’s indoors, where we breathe in, and come into contact with over a trillion life forms called microorganisms”. She also goes into great detail describing to us how these air borne microorganisms are transferred into our living environment, which is colonized by many type of microorganisms.
