Starting off with the chain bodysuits in medieval times, body armor has evolved through many technological advances. During current military operations, Soldiers are suited up with bulletproof vests, and outer tactical vests with ballistic material for bullet resistance. The progress of body armor over many many years has gone all the was from animal skins, to chains covering a knight's body, all the way to ballistic vests, fully bulletproof suits, military helmets with bullet proof technology made of Kevlar® fiber, tested to obtain shrapnel, fragmentation and 9mm bullets shot at sub-machine gun velocities. The second type of armor that has evolved big time over time is, chain mail. It has changed all the way from iron rings put together to make a suit of armor. All the way to Ballistic vests and protective clothing used for bullet resistance and safety of soldiers, cops, and many more people involved in gun violence around the world. The third type of armor that has evolved over time is, the shields that were used in battles and combat in the medieval times. The ideas of the older medieval citizens and soldiers have helped us evolve those ancient ideas into a very helpful part of our military’s success. It’s amazing to think that all the old ancient armor has transformed into the crazy powerful technological inventions that benefit soldiers, military, officers, etc. To see a simple slab of chain mail changing into a chest plate, ending up all the way in today's world with Ballistic vests being used by citizens by the million. Also to see that simple slabs of iron and wood planks have turned into the powerful bullet proof riot shield it is now today. The way everything has changed by time such as, technology, weapons, and armor itself has made a huge impact on our current society. Technology will continue to grow which opens up more opportunities to evolve ancient ideas into a real life
