In a ghost-like hotel, there was a man who was strolling along with his buddy up the stairs. It was so muted that you can hear a pin drop and only footsteps echoed in the empty hallway. Bob Wager was the most renowned man in my high school, as well as the best teacher, at least to all of those who were fortunate enough to have him as an instructor. Bob Wager was my head football coach at James Martin High School. When he walked around it was almost most as if he had a golden glowing aura around him. His demeanor demanded greatness of those around him and he accepted nothing less. I remember watching him speak to my team and me as young 12-13 year old boys; I was filled with elation because I would have the opportunity to play with him in the upcoming year.…

That particular Bob Evans does not have a good reputation with me but since my dear grandchildren wanted to eat there I simply replied, “Why not.”. When we got inside a very cheery room greeted us. There was a beautiful chandelier covering twenty or so tables with green tablecloths and the usual condiments. “It looks good enough.”…

Both my life and his are very different right now, but reading about his life and the things he endured both scares me and brings excitement. What About Bob? portrays realistic psychological disorders from a comedic perspective, through the main character, Bob Wiley. Despite the gross exaggeration of some of Bob’s dysfunctional traits, the film does an exceptional job conveying the reality of these disorders and the affects associated with them. It is very apparent from the get-go that Bob Wiley suffers from numerous psychological disorders; specifically, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, Hypochondriasis, Anxiety and Dependent Personality Disorder.
