What made you become a freedom fighter through music?
The reason why I would ask Bob Marley about why he became a freedom writer through music is because through all the problems in the world he decided to reunite his home with music. He knew fighting would kill him considering the fact that he was almost assassinated, but he still reunited Jamaica. Not everyone tries to reunite a whole country through music.
Do you really believe music can reunite a whole country?
Although this question may be silly to ask, I believe that the main reason why the country was reunited was because he is the king of reggae and he was from Kingston and that is why Bucky Marshall and Claude Massop looked to Bob Marley for help, as a publicity stunt. While Bob Marley went to Africa he fired his assistant for locking his car because it made it seem like he had no trust for his people. I believe today that concept might not work anymore due to the fact that the crime rate has risen since 1972, although he has hope in his people, would you still leave your car door unlocked? How do you feel that majority of today’s society relate you to smoking marijuana instead of your music and reuniting Jamaica?
Many people today relate Bob Marley with only smoking marijuana and song called “ Don’t Worry Be Happy” although Bob Marley did smoke marijuana I believe he should be known for his music, how he used it to express himself, and reunite Jamaica. Also Bob was not the creator of “Don’t worry Be happy” , the song came out a year and a half after his death. The reason why i'm asking such a personal question is because he had so much to teach the world but all everyone focus on is his bad
