Bob Marley was a Jamaican Reggae icon from the poverty-stricken neighborhood of Trench Town located in Jamaica's capital of Kingston. His prominent music career started with his interest in music but more importantly his fascination with the guitar. Bob Marley started out in a group called the Wailers, and though the group was popular in Jamaica Bob was not receiving the money he desired. He then decided to go solo and move to the United States to get his music heard and that resulted in over 20 million records sold worldwide. However, all was not good, as he endured an assassination on his life in 1976 during a time of political violence in Jamaica. This assassination attempt on his life is believed by many Jamaicans to be a hit by the Government,
