Robert Louis Bob Fosse was an American dancer, musical theater choreographer, director, screenwriter film director and actor. Bob Fosse was born on June 23, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the second youngest of six children of Norwegian American father Cyril K. Fosse who was also a vaudevillian, and Irish mother Sara Alice Fosse. His parents sent him to formal lessons, where he immersed himself in tap dancing.
