Remarkable smells of the freshly made cuisine, drifts along the walkways. Strong rich smells of vinegar fill my nose, as the wave of Thrashers Fries finally hits me. Sweet sugary fragrances silently creep up my nose next, telling me that the second wave of smells was here. Waves tippy toe onto the sand, leaving only a faint roar. The waves came one after another, like the never ending warm sweet smells of caramelized popcorn, which gave comfort like a blanket of soft fur. The waves, afraid to show their full potential, wrap all the way down to the end of the other side of the boardwalk. The soft mushy sand fades into the distance, mimicking the sun’s natural schedule. The boardwalk once again reunites with the sand, as they shake hands, reintroducing themselves.
Pure cream colored benches watch the warm reunion as they too, fade into the distance. Tall black lamp posts follow the white seats, curious to see where they may be going. At last, the boardwalk decides to merge with the opposite side of the peacefully sitting stores.
At the corner to my right, sits another blood orange sign reading, “Candy Kitchen” that opens its arms to the young children that stand with their parents. The front entrance side of the store screams adventure, as the decor features a barrage of “ROY-G-BIV” from top to bottom. The boardwalk was alive, ready to seize the moment.
