After completing the cases and the BSG Game together as a team, I believe the person who deserves a higher grade than the group average should be Nima Dehghani. Everybody on my team communicated and worked together in a timely fashion, everybody responded to text, did their part of the cases, and showed up when needed. However, the person who deserve a higher grade than the team average is Nima Dehghani because he kept us on track with the cases by reminding us when the cases were due and gave us parts to do on the case instead of making everybody do one case per person and he is the reason why we got number one on the BSG Game. Nima understood the game better than all of us combine, he knew what moves to play and the reactions that would…

“The Most Dangerous Game” is a story of two men fighting against each other in a life or death hunting competition. The setting in all stories set the mood for the rest of the story. The main places in “The Most Dangerous Game” is the ship they traveled on past the island, the mansion Rainsford stayed in, and the jungle that Rainsford and Zaroff hunted in. Each of these places had a different feeling and affected the emotion of the characters, which made up the mood of the story. For my visual argument I made a graphic meant to represent the financial struggles of college. The board game is a mimic of Monopoly so that the viewer instantly recognizes it and can instantly understand the image. Like in Monopoly each block has different events that you go through to make it around the board, though here the prices are meant to represent different cost that come up during a school year such as tuition, housing, parking passes and meal programs. The colors used are supposed to play on subconscious connotation, by associating, jail and loans and college by having all three be in red all three get carry a certain negative connotation. The player is alone, meaning they have no other option to ask for help to get through…

Ender’s Game so far is more diverse and different than any other book I’ve read, which is a very good thing and one of the many reasons why I am enjoying this novel so far. The book is set in a school in space made for kids that have the potential to become great commanders and soldiers, anybody sent there will stay there until they finish their training which may be until they’re eighteen or until they iced/booted off. This give me the sense of urgency, like they don’t have much time to waste on those who aren’t fit for being a commander but those who are fit will become good tacticians. I’ve always liked setting placed on different planets or in space, so the fact that is set in space did help immerse me a lot which does affect how I saw…

Monopoly, a board game released eighty years ago, managed to capture the hearts of nearly everyone who had a chance to play, teaching children both how to add and become wealthy real estate moguls in one simple package. The gameplay thrilled people across nations as they marched determinedly through hours of exciting transactions, budget keeping, and hotel management. Everybody wanted a piece of the action – myself included. The game was a refreshing break from such mindless entertainment as television and video games, and helped me learn at an early age that life is a cruel, dog-eat-dog race for the only thing that gives it meaning: money.…

The games between the authority and drivers are usually Stackelberg games. Fisk (1984) modelled the interactions of drivers’ groups and the optimisation of signal control (authority). The authority makes a first move in this case, i.e. to minimise the network total travel time, and the followers (drivers) move sequentially by reducing their travel time. The authority can control the travel time for the whole network by responding advance in an optimal way to the drivers’ selfishness. In this study, the game theory concepts are incorporated into the system optimal (for authority) and user equilibrium (drivers).…

Video Gaming, a Global Phenomenon Technology is a key element in our society and it is here to stay.
