In the production of this video, I hoped to encompass and highlight the quirky past and preservation of this iconic Route 66 roadside attraction. As a resident of Catoosa, I visited the Blue Whale numerous times, and I am very familiar with its history. Regardless, I still searched for websites that contained information or pictures that I could use in my video. Surprisingly, I learned things about the Whale that I had never known before, such as that it had been closed and abandoned for several years before being reopened and renovated. For resources, I used multiple websites that focused on the history of the Blue Whale. Also, I visited the Blue Whale’s gift shop and spoke with the manager, Linda, who had been working with the Blue Whale
