Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers, wrote fifty-one of the eighty-five essays in the Federalist papers over a six-month period without the aid of any technological devices or applications. He had to manually research and write his essays without access to search engines or computers. Today, he would have had access to the internet to research, could easily edit his essays, and the final copy would not have to go to a printer. These are all benefits of technological advancement but they would not have had an effect over the final product. In a little over two hundred years, society has technologically advanced in ways our Founding Fathers never could have imagined, but it was not without consequence (“The Federalist Papers”,1).…

The processes that Blue Dragon have found to be the most successful when taking kids off of the street and offering them opportunities to gain an education have been to approach them personally and offer them a safe place to get a warm meal (Brosowski. M. 2017). They do this by looking in areas that the children are most likely to be, this means thinking like a street kid and being able to go where they are. Often these places that the children have deemed safe from law enforcement and predators are not at all safe for the children. These places include, under bridges, under rail way tracks, near the banks of the rice fields and the Mekong, and places where a large group of the children can keep each other relatively safe. The average American spends half of their waking hours looking at a screen, equating to 20 years of their life. Technology has evolved how we spend our time, turning free time into screen time. Some argue that this evolution is for the best, technology is a massive asset for spreading knowledge and education. Others say we need to start limiting our use of this technology, for it becomes more distracting than productive. The solution is to use the vast powers technology has granted us for good, for knowledge, and then limit the amount of time we spend using our phones as entertainment devices.…

In the novel, Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, Montag, the book-saver, tried to escape the world of the overwhelming technology. Social activities were replaced by inane TV shows where clowns tear their limbs apart, families are replaced by the “family” on the television, and where thoughts are stopped by deafening TV commercials. Keep her quiet for just an hour, I need to finish up this work.’…
