Wednesday is Indigo Blue: Discovering the Brain of Synesthesia is interesting and highly informative both to a synesthete looking for more answers and to a passerby that may never have heard of the condition before. It breaks synesthesia down over the course of its chapters, beginning with examining each different major type of synesthesia and all of the intricacies that come with it. It addresses how these connections can integrate themselves into the concepts of a non-synesthete’s brain through metaphor and language, and explores the biology in which this trait is so ingrained in. The book ends with the acknowledgement that there is still much to discover about synesthesia, and doing so could give way to much larger insights into how the brain works and how we perceive the world.…

Milton says, “knowledge is as food and needs no less her temperance over appetite to know, in measure what the mind may well contain, oppresses else with surfeit and soon turns wisdom to folly” (216). Adam continues to question the archangel Raphael because gaining knowledge is like eating food, and humans need food to survive.…

From this I have been able see how some parts work and get to watch the engine and imagine how it is pushing the massive airplane forward. Then when landing being able to see the flaps and most of the wing separate mechanically to different locations in order to slow down and land properly amused me and I think seeing that just added to my passion for airplanes and aviation. This has made me desire to attend flight school eventually to learn all about the principles and physics of flight. From what I have researched I would most likely attend Mountain City Aviation because the staff are friendly and educated it is close to where I live and I have heard of some great success stories from their training. I love to travel and in the future I hope to travel to many places or do some sort of missions work in different areas of the world.…
