The article “Blue & Black” is based on the recent events of the Black Lives Matter movement. Participants of the Black Lives Matter movement believe that the police force as a whole is intentionally killing their friends and family, because of racism. Radical participants have begun to murder active duty police, because of “white on black shootings”. And in turn, the police have become frightened and use more harsh forces when approaching and dealing with the African American community. There has always been racism and discrimination between the blacks and the whites, but after a string of white officers killing black people, there was an uprising.
