The information in this article about blood stream infections has influence and guided my nursing practices. It has made me more aware of the issue and how much we as nurses are responsible for giving the best hands-on care. By being educated on this issue then I can educate my colleagues and patients so that we can decrease the number of people affected by this devastating infectious disease. The more attention that is brought to this issue the more that there will be done about it.
