Blood Drive
C/Pease

On October 5th, Detachment 485 AFROTC teamed up with the New Jersey Blood Center, to host its second ever blood drive. The blood drive was a massive success. The Latin American Student Organization was a cosponsor of this event and as the organizer for this event, I really have to reach out a whole-hearted thanks to the LASO community, for without them, I do not believe that this blood drive would have been able to reach the audience that it had. This blood drive was able to collect 50 pints of blood, potentially saving the lives of 150 people. Along with this amazing statistic, this blood drive was able to earn a $500 scholarship for the Raven’s Booster Club. The hope for this new funding is to be able to supply cadets

It is a great pleasure to recommend Rachel Sitasz for admission to the Edward Hospital Student Volunteer Program. She is one of the most empathetic, kind, and exceptional humans I have encountered in my 14 years of teaching. I teach Rachel in my 8th grade advanced ELA class. Her academics, character, innate curiosity, intrinsic motivation, ethical standards, and unwavering desire to give back, have put Rachel in a class of her own. In fact, for the first time in over 25+ years, the eighth-grade team created a brand new end-of-the-year award for our graduation awards assembly.…
