Blend Ed Learning Program Analysis

Decent Essays
I see The Urban School as a match for me because it values diversity, intelligence, and has a strong liberal arts program. From acclimating into China and being part of a bilingual and International community for the past ten years, I have become knowledgeable and respectful of the ideas, values, and cultures of a variety of diverse people. I have gained a special intelligence from being in such a different environment. Therefore, I’m able to engage and connect with people of different races, religions, and heritages. I am very interested in the Blend Ed learning program and I know that it will suit my hands-on learning style. I am both very interested in the visual and performing arts, including dance, music, design, and art, so the industrial

Mini-Skool is one of Ontario’s leading licensed child care centers, offering the best child care services and early childhood education on a full-time and part-time basis. Mini-Skool provides services to families with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten and school-aged children. This childcare center operates year-round, so families can benefit during the summer, and keeps a warm welcome to the children returning for the summer program. Mini-Skool differs from other licensed childcare centers by their separate programs for each age group. For example, the infant child care takes place in an infant-only environment with genuine love and affection, providing constant attention to early childhood development, whereas the preschool program encourages a balance of positive learning and play experiences that are focused and fun (Mini-Skool Canada).…

Throughout the year AVID has helped me learn organizational skills enormously. I say this because at the beginning of the year I didn’t know how I was going to complete all the work I received and I didn’t really understand the time management part. So as we started getting more and more homework, I found it was important to use your planner and to do your homework the night it was assigned. Several times I fell into a whole on Thursday nights, when we had binder the next day.…

My visit to Davidson’s campus was during Hurricane Joaquin. While the hurricane did no real damage to Davidson, it made for a cold, wet and potentially dreary weekend. My initial reaction was that “if I like this campus at its worst, then I’ll love it at its best”. My goal for the weekend visit as to better understand Davidson as a school and to meet Coach Willis and the Wildcat volleyball team.…

Actually, I am still in the most challenging academic course I have taken to date, AP United States History (APUSH). APUSH has been difficult for me due to the fact that I had very little knowledge of US history preceding my enrollment in the class. Furthermore, prior to this class I had never really had to study extensively to maintain high marks. APUSH has been different. Having little knowledge of this material, I have had to spend much more time studying.…

Unlike many of my peers, my life story is slightly different. Many of my peers share the story of living in a single parent home, being homeless, violence, and poverty. However, in my case, living in a two parent household is strange to hear about to my peers. For me, living in a two parent household means more work because of my desire to receive a full scholarship. Upon my research, I noticed that many of my older peers would receive better college financial opportunities because of their life experiences.…

    Behavioral Blend Analysis

What I have concluded about behavioral blend is that there are many factors that we have to take into account of when we are communicating with others. How Mr. Steward puts it is that there are specific roles that we go by in the world. That does not matter when it comes to communication. What matters is the listening, talking, and understanding. As well as Mr. Carbonell states that we have to look at our personal selves, in order to figure out how we relate to our own personally type.…

My perspectives and life completely changed when I was accepted into Bioscience High School. Being admitted was a huge achievement because the application and interview process was rigorous. One of the requirements for the application was to create a binder portfolio that would represent my worth ethic and what I could offer to the school. Now, I have experienced what it is like to be part of the Bioscience community. At first, the teaching methods and their curriculum was difficult to adjust to because their constructivist ways of teaching was different from the traditional way of education I had been in all of my life.…

The basic facts that I have given in my general application are only the facts that have been written down and kept record of. They don’t tell you who I am as a person, nor do they tell you if I would be a good candidate for your school. Hopefully, in this personal testimony of mine, I would like to explain some of the reasons why you should consider me as a student that is right for your school. I would first like to start off saying that your school is at the top of my list, as well as many others. I know that I am a perfect candidate for FIT as I have learned many great things in high school and at the community college I attend that will benefit me on my journey as I go to transfer to a four year University of my choice.…

From my experiences with blended learning, I have conceived that the concept is attempting to portray the idea that students such as I need to widen our knowledge by combining our in-school experiences with the interactions we have with our real world and others, while releasing us on our journey as individuals. This concept encourages creativity, unique problem solving, and is a new, modern rebel in comparison to traditional learning styles. However, this possibly wonderful opportunity is held back by monotonous schoolwork and projects. The goal that teachers are trying to reach with blended learning is that students should take action in what they dream to pursue, and turn it into reality. The projects that are given in such a traditional…

    1) What are you expecting to see and learn on your placement? My experiences in Ceduna form some of my preconceptions of rural teaching, prior to my placement at Port Augusta Secondary School (PASS). I recognise that the stereotypes held by many about Port Augusta as a low socio-economic regional town has influenced my expectations. I am also aware of the higher rates of poverty, unemployment, and indigenous population in the Far North of South Australia (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2010).…
