Waking up with a killer headache and blurry vision, Blanche knew something was wrong. She waited for her eyes to adjust to the harsh lighting before fully opening them and taking in her surroundings. There was blood everywhere! At the foot of the old wooden chair she sat in was a puddle of what Blanche could only assume to be her own blood. Seeing this she began to panic. She desperately tried pulling at the ropes around her hands, but had no luck. By now Blanche was sure it was her blood collecting on the floor. She had cuts all the way up her arms and she had a lasting taste of copper in her mouth. Blanche couldn’t even imagine what damage could have been done to her face, the only indication was her blood soaked blouse. “Shit”, she said …show more content…
Now that her sister actually needed her she wasn’t going to be able to help her. The tears were streaming down her face not just because her emotional turmoil, but her physical pain as well. Getting to worked up she began to slip into unconsciousness the last thing she was thinking of was her huge fight with her sister four years prior.
4 Years Earlier: “I hate you!” Gretchen screamed. “You’re trying to run my life. I don’t understand why you always treat me like a child. I am an adult and I don’t need you making my decisions.” “I don’t hate you,” Blanche responded. “You need to quit being so dramatic. As for me running your life, that’s my job as your older sister. With mom and dad gone someone has to stop you from making rash decisions.” “I don’t understand the big deal! It’s my life and I don’t want to be there anymore.” “No adult just drops out of an ivy league school, okay.
